Situated in western Uganda, Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) spans the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Bushenyi, and Rukungiri. It lies between Lake Edward and Lake George, connected by the famous Kazinga Channel, and is framed by the Rwenzori Mountains to the north. The park is easily accessible from Kampala (5-6 hours’ drive) and is close to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
QENP boasts over 95 mammal species and 600+ bird species, making it one of Africa’s most biodiverse parks.
QENP offers Uganda’s most varied safari experience—classic game drives, boat cruises, chimp trekking, and rare tree-climbing lions—all in one park. Its accessibility and diverse landscapes make it ideal for first-time safari-goers and seasoned travelers alike.
